Back to college | my clothing basics/essentials + tips |

Hellooo my lovelies! Today I’ll share with you my clothing essentials for college and upcoming trends for autumn/winter 2013. Next week I will be starting my second year in college so I‘ve some experience and knowledge on what outfit I wore the most. In no means you have to wear any of this is just my point of view and my opinion. Also each college/school/sixth form will have it's own dress code, i'm lucky as we don't really have one.

I know first week of college I really made an effort with my make-up, hair and outfit! Come second week I was tired, sleepy and in no mood to get up extra early to get ready… typical me. I choose sleep over looking really good, which was fine with me. My outfit were comfy but still looked put together.

Firstly, black leggings they will be your new best friend. They look great with almost anything, I wore mine with t-shirts, blouses, blazers and jumpers…Boots or converse or even dolly shoes. They are comfy and it is a simple, go to outfit.

from left to right;

Skater skirts look great with tights in the colder days but you can also wear those bare legs with socks in the warmer days in September (however I’m not sure how many of them in UK are left!) I wore my skater skirts with boots, converse and flats as they look good with pretty much anything. As for tops I wore t-shirts, blouses and jumpers with them all tuck in.

from left to right;

Jumpers, as previously mentioned I wore jumpers a lot to college, with blouse underneath so the collar was showing or just plain vest. Jumpers are comfy and effortless. As I said before they look good with almost anything (jeans, leggings and skirts) Also you can wear them over dresses as an extra layer to keep you warm!

Coat or jacket, during colder days that’s not only going to keep you warm but also be a massive part of your outfit as that’s one of the only things you will be able to see! I wore my leather jacket loads as I found it went with a lot of things.
Cardigans are great as you can wear them on their own when it’s warm enough or under a coat as an extra layer to keep you warm. They also finish of the outfit nicely, or they can nicely change up the outfit by adding different accessories such as necklace or scarf

Last year I started a series 'What I wore to college' Just simple outfit I wore to college throughout the year!

Also a while back I've posted 'What's in my college bag?' (click here)

Review of my current college bag which is 'Zara Office City Bag' (click here)

 Dress- New Look
Watch- River Island
 Shoes- Local Boutique

On Saturday I went to my friend’s 18th birthday party. It was an amazing night and great chance to catch up with everyone who I hadn’t seen in ages. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to wear but in the end I went with this stripe dress, with plain black bodycon bottom which was from New Look. My watch is from River Island, which I showed up close in my recent haul (click here). As for my shoes, these babies are extremely high and not the easiest shoes to walk in. Unfortunately by the end of night, I took them of as my feet were killing me! Although I still love them and think they’re a amazing and despise everything I will wear them again!

Hope you like it, thanks for reading!

Recent buys | Primark, River Island, Topshop, Nike + more ♥ |

Hello lovelies! I’m so sorry for not posting for over a week, but I been extremely busy lately with a lot of things going around me. Hopefully I am back on track and will be posting more regularly from now on!
Today I wanted to show you what I bought recently, while I wasn’t blogging. I wouldn’t say it’s a collective haul but all these things have been bought since I posted my last collective haul (click here)

Firstly I really wanted a pair of airmax’s, I seen few people mention them in OOTD posts and I really like the look of them. I decided to go for this white pair with navy and light blue.

Next, I picked few things from Primark. I bet you wondering what is that duck hoodie things, well its half top onesie. It’s so soft and comfortable I love it a lot! I managed to get it for £5, reduced from £8. I also got some plain black joggers which were a great bargain for £3, down from £8. The last two things I got from primark were tops, the grey one is long sleeved crop top which was on sale for £2! Lastly the pink and grey top was £4, it has white net details on the shoulders, which for some reason reminds me a lot of sports t-shirt.

The gorgeous Aztec print skirt is from Topshop and I got it a while back now, it was a great bargain at £20. It high waisted so it looks amazing with different colour crop tops. It’s also very flattering on and very comfortable. The grey top is actually from Zara, and I picked up during the Zara sale few weeks ago for only £3.99! It was originally £19.99. They only had medium size left but I thought it would be great top to wear with leggings when you not feeling like dressing up and making a lot effort. Basically it’s perfect top for lazy days.

The only jewellery bits I picked up were a gold watch from River Island, which I had my eye for ages. I really like the look of Michael Kors watched however I didn’t want to splurge £200 for a watch. In my opinion this is a great dupe and I love it! I have been wearing it since I got it almost every day non-stop! I received a lot of compliments on it, a lot people wouldn’t believe me it’s from River Island as it looks way more expensive. The other jewellery bit is a long gold cross necklace which is from Primark for only £2.

Lastly, I picked up few beauty bits… as am sure all of you know baby lips by Maybelline are now available in UK. I had a hard time actually finding them, as they were sold out almost everywhere. I did manage to get my hands on the yellow one which is ‘Intense care’. I also picked up Nivea 2 in 1 cleanser& toner as it was on offer in Asda for £2. After reading a lot reviews on MUA’s new mascara I really wanted to try it out, the brush looked very interesting. The last thing is from Avon, and it is Moroccan argan oil lightweight gloss spray.

Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

Surving the Summer in Sandals ♥

Hello Lovelies! Here in UK, we really don’t have a summer… however everyone in the summer months likes to wear summery clothes and accessories even if it means layering up.

One of most popular shoes to wear during summer are sandals. They are the cute, easy to style and even on older days you can wear them with leggings or jeans instead of a dress.

Today I will share with you my favourite sandals for different occasions.

That’s my picks of sandals for the summer, hope you like it!

Do you wear sandals in the summer?

July Favourites! ♥

Hello Lovelies! I haven’t done monthly favourites for ages; I think last one I posted was my ‘April favourites’ which was so long ago! I actually cannot believe its August already… this year is literally flying by.

Nivea Daily essentials double eye make-up remover
I got this while it was on offer at Superdrug for around £1.60, I didn’t expect much however it is the best eye make-up remover I ever used. One cotton pad and all my eye make-up wipes off straight away even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Also it doesn’t make my eyes water or sting. I love it and will definitely re-purchase it after it runs out, totally recommend it!

Avon Advance Technique Moroccan oil
I mentioned this in my ‘Updated hair care routine’; I use it before I dry my hair on my ends. Afterwards it leaves my hair feeling really smooth and soft. Also I noticed my ends aren’t so dry anymore. If you can get your hands on it, I would defiantly recommend it! I love this stuff!

Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish in green eyed monster
I got this nail polish while I was on holiday, as I left all mine at home. It’s very pigmented and fast drying. I love the brush as it makes it a lot easier to paint your nails with. I wore it on my finger nails as well as my toes and it looked gorgeous, especially with a tan!

Miss sporty nail polish in orange
I also picked this up while I was on holiday, if you have been reading blog for a while you might already know that Miss sporty nail polishes are some of my favourite! I love the formula of them as well as the brush. This colour is a lot brighter in real life; it looks amazing on your toes as well as your fingers nail. It makes me look a lot more tanned than I am. This is certainly one of my favourite summer nail polishes!

MUA blusher in shade 1
I often wear pink blushers; however I saw this blusher on someone’s blog and had to have it! I actually took it with me on holiday and it looked amazing with my tan. As it is a coral colour it looks a lot more natural than pink blusher. For £1 you can’t complain, amazing!

Nivea refreshingly soft moisturizing cream
This is another product I had with me on holiday; I moisturized my skin in the morning and night as being in the hot sunny weather all day my skin tends to get dry. I love the fact this moisturizer isn’t thick and applies really well. Plus it doesn’t take forever to soak into your skin. It leaves my skin really moisturized and soft!

Avon Far away bella perfume
My mum bought full size bottle of this perfume and received this as a gift, it’s a perfect handbag size. The perfume itself smells really nicely and fresh, also it does stay on for a very long time!

Givenchy lip gloss in Vintage ruby
I got this as a gift from my lovely mum, after I got back from my holiday! She knows how much I love wearing bold lips and picked this up for me! I couldn’t believe how pigmented this lip gloss was! Also it stays on my lips like a stain, amazing!

My Kindle #5 | The Love Series by Megan Smith ( Trying not to love you ) | ♥

Hello Lovelies! Recently while I was on holidays I discovered Megan Smith, I loved the first book which I read by her,‘Trying not to love you’. Her style of writing is amazing, she makes you feel like you really know the characters and you feel everything their going through… which sometimes can be heart-breaking. On the 31st of July Megan published the second book in the sequel called ‘Easy to love you’ which is continuation to the story.

‘Trying not to love you’ isn’t your typical boy meets girl book, he is a player and she is sweet and innocent… it’s nothing like that. The two main characters are Mackenzie and Hunter, they pretty much grown up together since he moved to their area when she was only 10. Mackenzie was not only the only girl but the baby of the family, as she had three older brothers. At young age their dad made sure they understood to always lookout for her and protect her. They made her life a lot harder and it was very to enjoy her teenage life. Having a boyfriend was pretty much not possible, as her brothers would threaten or scare any boy who would show any interest in Mackenzie, especially after her brothers become really close with Hunter… meant only one thing that she had, four over-protective brothers watching her every step. That was until Dominic who wasn’t afraid of standing up to them.

Everything finally seemed to be going really good for Mackenzie until she moves to college, where she sees a different story to Dominic, which results in her questioning their relationship. She starts to notice he might be just like majority of the other guys.

One night, one party flip her world upside… she doesn’t know what to do or how to deal with it. She is left with a broken heart and her brothers’ best-friend shoulder to cry on. The attraction their share for each-other is growing, the chemistry becomes strongly noticeable and impossible to avoid. Feelings that been buried years ago are seeing a daylight again and questioned.

However Hunter has to make a choice, a girl of his dreams or his best-friends, who happen to be her brothers.

‘Trying not to love you’ is available on Amazon, both in paperback and kindle edition.
